Nelson-Goedert Energy was founded by Dr. Nicholaus Nelson-Goedert, a sociology of the natural environmental lecturer and entrepreneur from Miami, Florida. He has received extensive subject matter training, including certificates in Sustainable Energy from MIT, Exploring Renewable Energy (University of Pennsylvania), Oil and Gas Industry Operations (Duke), and Environmental Safety (St. Petersburg State University). He has leadership training through Harvard University, the Wharton School of Business, and Tsinghua University, along with three certificates in artificial intelligence from the University of Helsinki and DeepLearning.AI.

He received an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and a doctorate in sociology from Emory University.
